Counselling
Being able to talk openly to someone else in a confidential and accepting setting can be helpful in itself. It can also help in gaining understanding and acceptance, working through difficulties you are facing and helping you to make the changes you wish.
I offer flexible appointment times, a friendly and professional service and have had experience working with a wide range of age groups and issues including depression, anxiety, stress, relationships, bereavement, personal development and identity.
I charge £45 per therapy session and each session will last 50 minutes. The amount of sessions and the content of the time together is completely your choice.
Booking an initial session of Counselling can often help in your decision about whether Counselling is right for you. There is no pressure or obligation to continue after this initial session.

Issues Counselling can deal with
Counselling is your space and so can be used for whatever you would like to discuss. There are no issues that are too big or too small, right or wrong, just the opportunity to get help with what you need. In the past I have had experience of working with:
Ages and individuals
I currently work with adolescents, adults and the elderly. I have had experience working with a wide variety of ages, covering many different issues.
How does Counselling work?
Counselling offers you a place to talk openly about your difficulties. Often we may have no one to talk to and if we do we may feel that they may be biased, judgmental or too involved with the situation. Counselling offers a place that is non-judgment, understanding and accepting.
As a Counsellor, I believe that you already have the answers and resources within yourself to overcome the difficulties that you are facing. What I aim to offer is a place to openly explore how you feel and your situation to help you find your own answers.
Number of sessions
Everybody is different and needs a different amount of sessions. I have seen some people who just needed one session and some that needed a lot more. I believe that you will know when you have got what you need from the Counselling but often you will have a good idea if the Counselling will be what you need within the first few sessions.
The work together is also reviewed after 6 sessions to see how you are finding it and if the therapy is offering what you need. It can also be reviewed at any other point that feels relevant during our work together. This is all done to make sure that you are getting what you need from Counselling and explore any areas of working together that you may wish to discuss.
Confidentiality
Confidentiality is an important aspect of Counselling. It basically means that what you talk about in your Counselling sessions stays between the two of us. There are a few exceptions to this rule:
